SUMMARY:Dine Out | Shop Out for Autism
DESCRIPTION:A community-wide fundraising event that brings together restaurants\, shops\, and consumers to help raise funds for and Autism awareness.  Local restaurants and shops will donate 10% of their revenue. April is national Autism Awareness Month. Every year\, organizations around the country celebrate throughout the month with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events. According to the Center for Disease Control\,1 in 68 children have been identified withautism spectrum disorder (ASD). Evidence suggests that the prevalence rate in North Carolina is even higher than the national average\, at 1 in 58. ASD is more common thanchildhood cancer\, cystic fibrosis\, and multiple sclerosis combined. Join Richie’s Alliance for Autism on  April 18TH 2023\, for a community-wide fundraising event that brings together consumers to help raise funds and awareness for ASD. During our Dine Out /Shop Out for Autism event\, local restaurants\, shops and breweries will donate 10% of revenue to the Haywood County School Foundation Exceptional Children’s department.  the Haywood County Schools Foundation‘s ECP (Exceptional Children’s Program)  provides specially designed instruction to ensure that all children with disabilities\, ages 3 through 21\, have available to them a free appropriate public education.
